RE: Unless This Changes, It Could Really Hurt Litecoin In The Long Run

Well, I was basing it on the amount of Bitcoin taken for a fee vs. the amount of LTC taken. If I understand right, the transaction fees are a much higher fraction of the currency for LTC than for BTC If Litecoin was the same price as Bitcoin right now, then I think Litecoin's transaction fees would be much higher than Bitcoin in terms of dollars.

But yeah, I remember seeing someone on here saying BTC fees were currently as high as 50 dollars which is extremely high. It makes it not worth cashing out of any unless it's a large amount.

Yeah, I guess currently Litecoin's fees in USD are actually lower than what I had said because I was basing it on a 300 dollar price, and it's currently under that.

Sort:

Ya I mean if a coin is priced at $1 per coin but the fees are $0.70 you're losing 70% of your money in fees..so what matters is percent lost for an equivalent dollars worth of coins.
