The most prolific actor in the world of video games returns to work with Hideo Kojima playing a mysterious character.
We knew that Death Stranding would be at the Tokyo Game Show , and that's how it was, not missing the new Hideo Kojima to his Japan appointment. What until now is a totally intriguing game made an appearance in this edition no less than to present two new characters, one of them played by Troy Baker , an actor virtually ubiquitous in the video game industry.
The questions continue before the game of Kojima
The first of these characters is the boss of Sam - the protagonist played by Norman Reedus - whose name has not yet been revealed. The actor Tommy Earl Jenkins will be in his skin, while in Japan it will be Akio Otsuka, known for being nothing more nor less than the voice of Solid Snake in the Japanese country.
Meanwhile, the voice of the second character will be more familiar, as we said, is that of Troy Baker , well known for dubbing others like Joel -The Last of Us-, Delsin Rowe -inFamous: Second Son- or Booker DeWitt -Bioshock Infinite-, and who previously worked with Kojima in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, as he took on the role of Revolver Ocelot. In Death Stranding it will be a mysterious character dressed in a golden mask , and in the video we see how he invokes a huge beast, making it clear that the supernatural elements will be very present in Death Stranding.
We have also discovered new work by Yoji Shinkawa -artist with prior relationship with Kojima having also worked in MGS- with this game at hand, offering his particular vision of Sam. Meanwhile, and despite having seen a relatively extensive Death Stranding gameplay in the past E3, we still try to decipher what Kojima has in his head with this game, something that is yet to be known.
