So ENS is the new thing now.......instead of using your very long eth address you can now get your own name with a .eth at the end.....a logical step forward in making cryptos more user friendly.
Its a relatively simple thing to do straight from MEW. Just click the ENS tab at the top and follow instructions. It will put the name out on the blockchain and bidding starts....like an auction, after a few days it goes into a "reveal" mode where you have to reveal your bid for others to see....then after another day the name is yours, provided you are still the highest bidder .
During the set up you will receive some code....you MUST take a snapshot, copy and paste to a word doc, save it..... you will need the pass phrase words to claim your name.
To be honest, the process seems.....not so user friendly.
Someone should make an app around this and charge some change for the service.
I'm sure they probably will. However like all new tech the earlier you can get in the better, I did the reveal yesterday.....a copy and paste from a word doc i saved, so wasn't really that hard. But yes an app of some description could simplify the process.
