It hurts so bad to see steem drop from around $8 to $4.91, almost half of it's price is gone with the wind. Just few days back it was a jamboree/fiesta in Steemland.
To the wise and prudent steemians and Crypto enthutiast, they must have set aside part of their earnings and must have invested it in a more stable Altcoin with the aim of buying back into Steem when the correction in price of Steem/SBD finally materialized.
Many like me sees steemit as a getaway into another World, a place where there is hope of being valued and not thinking of the Socio-economical conditions of the Real World. While to some it's just another website, for the formal; i enjoy my little time on steemit. Reading articles that are cruicial to a stable financial condition is one of the best reason i come back day-in day-out. Even though i have not been commenting so much because; "it's better to keep mute than drop annoying comments!"
To power down would be a grave mistake for me, not yet!
Hopefully, i won't fall into a financial quagmire that would require me to do so. Though it is so hard to see the value of your accounts drop, but it is just one of those days where you have to take the good and the bad!

If you've been here long enough, you've seen it rise and fall - granted only from like $4 to less than $1, which is abour equal to what has happened just now but this dip was especially heartbreaking.

i think it will drop to $1 or $2 in next few days or in a month.. as i read somewhere last year it dropped to 0.10$ in july.
Well, that only means one thing: Buy a truckload of it when it drops that low😎
The lowest steem got in July was $0.89. That was after a then record peak of $2.66 on June 6th. The new record peak was $8.19. If the next nadir is 1/3 of the peak like last time, then that will be around £2.73. But there is no guarantee that the next nadir will be as low as that.

Yes we are optimistic and energetic, the downfall will be definitely turn up very soon my dear friend. It's a game so sometimes we have to face down, but good player never bow down, have hope and expectations, future will be great for all of us. Thanks for sharing such a valuable information. My oga no be small thing ooooo, this one way steem just drop half the price get as e be wallahi. Me way no even get anything for the platform they feel wan kind talk more of people like you way don hit am for steemit.
