Everybody has their own grand plan! Some people just invest into Bitcoin, where others invest into altcoins (oftentimes to get more Bitcoin!). Some people aim to cash out along the way, while others are hardcore into the HODL mentality. I'm curious to know what your short, medium or long term strategies are!
For myself, my 'end goal' in the medium term is to acquire more Bitcoin by investing into altcoins. I felt like I was not willing to spend the current price for Bitcoin, so I decided to invest into altcoins in the hopes of increasing my wealth quicker an eventually flipping it for a larger amount of Bitcoin than if I had simply invested into Bitcoin.
I am currently holding mostly NEO, BTC and STRAT, followed by ETH and IOTA, and negligeble amounts in BAT, LBRY, BitcoinCash,. Siacoin, Golem, EOS, STEEM and GAS.
My strategy and 'grand plan' for the time being is to hold NEO all the way up to $80-100 and then trade about 25% it for Bitcoin and continue to hold the remainder up until $150+. In the meantime, I am hoping that STRAT will have gone $50-70 after which I will be trading it for BTC and looking to reinvest it in other altcoins later.
Short term, I have sold my OMG and am looking to rebuy if it dips a little, which will take most of my current BTC and thus put all my funds into altcoins again.
Ethereum is my short-medium term play, with Metropolis and other exciting things going on, and the first DAPPs appearing. I intend to hold this until it breaks previous ATH of $400 and then pick a nice pricepoint to sell it at, for BTC.
IOTA is a long term hold. Ideally my other investments will make me enough BTC in time so I can put more funds into IOTA over time.
My other small coins are mainly here for fun, and I don't intend to hold most of them except EOS for the long term and will be selling as soon as I feel I've taken enough profits. EOS is something I hope to add more to my portfolio, using my profits from the earlier mentioned investments.
In the short to medium term, I am looking to acquire WTC and Kyber to add to my long term holdings as well. Of course there are many good coins that, when they are cheap enough, I may pick up additionally for temporary holding.
What's YOUR masterplan? Are you in it for more Bitcoin as well? Or are you simply looking to cash out into FIAT and don't pay attention to the BTC prices of other crypto's at all? I'm curious to know!
I generally just buy and hold stuff when the price is down, I don't sell often and never all of anything. I only hold coins I think are going somewhere in the long term.
Happy Trading

Oh, yes, but eventually you will sell, right? Or do you plan to hold indefinitely and live off of dividends?
I like hodling too, but I need to trade up to hodling an amount that's worth something!
If something swings up %100 or more I definitely would consider selling around half to take some profit so the coins I hold would have cost me nothing essentially. If I have enough ETH when it moves to POS I will be sure to take dividends that way too.
