The "philosophy lecture" is important. I don't mean this facetiously. Understanding has to be based on a larger concept in which one can place the current idea. In this case, the idea is crypto. In that context, today's video helps.
More important to me is your personal sharing. I have limited skill so I look to someone for guidance. If the teacher is always effortlessly gliding by, even when I'm in turmoil, I interpret that as my doing poorly. Either I don't belong here or I need to find a new teacher. When you "joke" about hair pulling, the teacher gets humanized in a different way and the lesson becomes more valuable. It tells me that even when you do everything correctly and believe you are fully prepared, there are times that the reality of the market will cause significant emotional distress. The latter does not equate to loss of hope; just a period of real emotional loss concomitant with the financial loss. That, too, is a great lesson.
At the end of the day, I get to keep my hope and trust my teacher; not in a blind way, but based on a shared experience. I can work with that.
