I know that hashing power can be a bit of problem for many when in comes to crytos. It is for me but I did some digging and found alternatives. You already know of Steem but have you heard of STORJ? If you got some spare hard drive space you can basically rent it out for STORJ. I been doing it since January. Pay out has been better then I expected. Storj I've earned is worth close to $130 This month. storj.io is the site if you are interested.
I'm keeping my eyes open for others that come my way. These are turbulent times we live in when it comes to money.
Oh I see you're not mining you're actually purchasing the tokens. Like you would purchase Bitcoin. I guess the thing I like about Steem is I don't have to buy anything. I can mine it. $60 just for posting what I would ordinarily post anyway. With another $60 lined up to be added next week. All the while the Value of the Steem tokens keeps going higher. I don't have to invest anything at all. since I don;t have any money anyway, It's all sitting in silver... It seems like the best route for me.

You don't need to purchase. You just need free space on you hard drive.

Thanks for the heads up. For sure I'll take a look. I just look at the Bitcoin wallet thing, which one and how, and all that and my brain freezes.
