Hey! Thank you for the great advice! It is exciting to hear the story from somebody who has been in this wavelength since 2010. I completely missed the boat. But now, I finally woke up. And (funny enough) I want to write a book in Spanish, to help wake up my neighbors who are all asleep. I hope you don't mind that I will "steal" some of the ideas and words that I learned from your post. In particular, "the game works like this" which is exactly what I had thought of doing. But you wrote it much more clearly than my vague ideas. And yes, I will vote for witnesses. I would like to be a witness myself. Thank you for all the brilliant ideas in this post.
I am going to follow you.
Hi there! No problem :) I know, it's awesome that my husband always seems to have a finger on the pulse of things. And it's awesome that you woke up! You are still in the early period of crypto!
Absolutely, 'steal' away lol!
Hello Dreemit... I have a question... I notice that this comment to your post has (I think) earned $0.76 and almost all of my original posts (mostly about health, and humor) (and they are very good, in my opinion) earn $0.00 and almost all of my comments to other people's posts also earn $0.00 Is there a REASON why my comment to your post earned $0.76 ??? If I understood the reason, perhaps I would do it more often. Perhaps posts having to do with crypto currencies earn more?
By the way... please read my posts ("blog")... You will see that I am destined to become a whale. (if health and humor are popular topics)
Steemit is a game, but it is important to understand the rules to grow from a minnow to a dolphin. How do we play this game?
Well in this case the reason you got so much for the comment was one of the voters is a whale. She happened to be commenting on the post too and liked what you had to say :) Well thought out comments on a post with a lot of activity, particularly when you catch the post early, are more likely to earn you comment upvotes.
I would be careful about asking people how to play the game. It makes you appear disingenuine. All I can tell you is that the comment you initially wrote was a good one. I don't mind that you asked me to visit your page, but I should also warn you that many people will. Basic rules here are: Be sure to always upvote a post that you comment on, make sure the comment is a thoughtful one that lets the blogger know that you actually read/watched the article. Never put a link of yours on someone's page unless you're friendly enough with them that you know they won't mind, or they happen to be in the post that you made. Don't ask people to follow or upvote you.
But really the most important thing is to be genuine and develop real friendships. Chasing whales will get you nowhere. Be positive, that's always welcome.
