Altcoins have been taking a beating recently which is likely due to the Bitcoin gold fork, which is scheduled to be implemented on October 25th; and on exchanges November 1st.
Because of this many people are exchanging their altcoins for Bitcoins to receive free Bitcoin gold.
If you have altcoin positions don't panic and don't sell, because the altcoins should make a strong recovery after the fork.

thanks for your suggesion to hold altcoin and its seems better idea.
Well it would have been good to sell just before the dip and rebuy the alts, but I missed it too so just holding what I have and bought some more NEO, and SBD.

NEM was on a downtrend for a while, maybe this final dip made the price irresistible to people who believe in the project long term.
I don't know much about Bitconnect, I think it is tied to Bitcoin (having them invest for you or something) so that could be why.
