APPICS is the first SMT to be built on the STEEM blockchain. Representing a much needed shift towards the simplification of crypto integrated social media it is similar to Instagram but with all the voting features of Steemit, designed specifically for mobile devices (representing 60% of the world market) and aimed firmly at the mainstream, who let’s face it, are not all willing or able to learn the many things which must be learned here on Steemit.
The age of investing
Crypto is still in its infancy so if you invest now, it may very well turn out to be a total game changer for your life in the future.

One of the founders of APPICS is @sirwinchester who I am sure many of you will already be familiar with here. He has seen a great deal of success on Steemit (through no amount of hard work) and built a large following. Amongst other things Mr Winchester is an entrepreneur and having seen that which is great about Steemit and that which isn't, he has created something which aims to fill the gaps and provide a simplified evolution of sorts whilst remaining faithful to the STEEM blockchain.
Unfortunately for APPICS Steemit has not delivered on its proposed date for SMT activation leaving them no choice but to launch on the Ethereum blockchain as an ERC20 token. As a new coin it is unwise to deviate from the dates proposed in the roadmap, especially prior to the ICO, so it will launch on the planned date but not in the planner manner. It will be moved to the STEEM blockchain as soon as the technology permits... which should be in the next month or two.
Why invest in APPICS?
By supporting APPICS we are supporting the ongoing growth of extensions to the STEEM blockchain and therefore supporting STEEM itself. So, it should be a no-brainer for us steemians.
Never before has a token been launched with the support of a community the size of Steemit, who are all in one way or another still connected to older social media channels. This is relevant because APPICS have a particularly active bounty campaign rewarding anyone who shares this story on their existing social media networks.

If APPICS can bridge this gap without bamboozling people with the many technicalities of becoming a cryptocurrency holder, enabling the masses to get their foot in the crypto door, word will spread fast and then my friends... the floodgates will open.
