South Korea wants to be the new king of Blockchain

The government of South Korea, announced this November 9 that it will invest about 35 million dollars of next year's budget, in developing blockchain technology in different companies that were related to distributed accounting technology, better known as "DTL".

In addition, the leaders who hold or hold senior positions in the government of this country met to discuss various issues in reference to DTL and blockchain technology, this being an important meeting because the Minister of Science was present, as well from the Ministry of Information and Communications, governmental entities such as the Democratic Party of Korea, among other influential people.

On the other hand, the Vice Minister of Health and Welfare, said that during the performance of this meeting the ministers had decided to increase the budget that was planned to be used for a significant development with respect to this technology.

Finally, the Ministry of Science also obtained about 72 applications for blockchain style projects, thanks to 41 institutions, which selected 6 plans for the development of these new technologies in the public sector. Likewise, this entity argued that it would double the number of approved projects until it reaches 12, in addition to financially supporting 3 or 4 private developments.
