A few days back I wrote about how I thought we are in the midst of a raging revolution, the biggest after the advent of internet which could very likely rival and surpass the impact of the former.
Cryptocurrencies are really challenging the archaic system and shaking the foundation of the very financial structure of the world and in the times to come, we could see the world transitioning from fiat to crypto for everything imaginable.
All this started of course, with Bitcoin, the whitepaper of which was released on October 31, 2008 by its anonymous creator, Satoshi Nakamoto. On January 3, 2009, the genesis block of bitcoin was mined by Satoshi and the rest is history.
Till today, we do not know who Satoshi is and according to many, remaining anonymous and getting out of the way was the best thing Satoshi did as it allowed Bitcoin to grow organically. After all, it was the start of the decentralised network and him removing himself from the equation cemented that fact even more.
Does McAfee Know Who Satoshi Is?
The anonymity surrounding bitcoin's creator has led to a lot of speculation, frauds, scams and anything you can imagine. The recent shenanigans with Craig Wright, claiming he was Satoshi and suing people on Twitter for calling him a fraud is just one of many, albeit the most popular.
It seems like some people have had it with all the drama and they just want to establish once and for all who Satoshi is and John McAfee probably tops that list. For those of you who don't know him, he is the eccentric founder of the software company McAfee Associates, who has been a vocal supporter of cryptocurrencies and has infamously predicted that by 2020, Bitcoin will be worth $1 million.
Well, yesterday he tweeted out that the "mystery must end" and said that Bitcoin was created by a group of people calling themselves Satoshi Nakamoto and was not created by the CIA or NSA like a lot of people speculate. He also said that the white paper was written by one man who currently resides in the US and if he does not come forward, he will reveal everything.
Furthermore, McAfee tweeted that, from here on, he will be giving more and more clues everyday about the bitcoin's creator which will help narrow down his identity as he believes that we as a community are wasting a lot of time and resources speculating on the matter.
What do you think? Does McAfee really know about the identity of Satoshi or is it all just a publicity stunt? Even if he somehow knows, should the identity be revealed? How will that affect the markets? If you want to check out his tweets for yourself, click on the following link.
The guy is as mental as they come. The space is being corrupted with sociopaths and psychopaths. Bitcoin is great, the universe is great its people that suck.
That's so true. But I guess it naturally happens where money is involved.
Fear and Greed.
True :)

I am excited and love listening to him even though he feeds alot of bullshit, weed through it and he is a smart dude. Would be funny if he actually knew...
Yeah, it would be great if at least someone knew!
Watch the investigative journalist's documentary on McAfee called "Gringo: The Dangerous Life of John McAfee," and then you won't trust another thing the man says.
Will do. Thanks!

I think that McAfee might know but nobody is sure. Even is he reveals the creator, I don't know how much we can trust him.
Thanks!
