Anytime the media finally jumps onto the bandwagon full fledged it means the party might be over.
In this case I'm talking short-term as I have no doubt BTC will be higher over the lonng-term.
The general masses never buy at the bottom, they are always in near the top as they pile in sparked by the media hype.
So with that said, could we see a short-term top in BTC? I mean, we haven't seen a substantial pullback since we came just shy of 8k before pulling back to 5,600. We are double the price from that last peak.
I can tell you one thing...
I am praying for a big pullback so I can Buy Buy Buy!
Any chance we can see 12k? That would be lovely!
All though with analysts coming on CNBC and saying things like this....we'll probably rip higher!
The Masses Are Coming
With cryptocurrency on a whole going viral in the media the masses will be pouring in.
The volatility we are seeing won't last forever, that I can promise. It could last 6 months, a year, maybe two years before things normalize a bit so get while the getting is good my friends!
Some things I use:
- 1broker to trade stock and currency using my bitcoin
- Bitconnect to earn daily interest lending my bitcoin (using speculative funds)
Best Regards,

When I see the market turn bearish I see dollar signs...Don't hit the panic sell...Instead rationally buy more.
Yeah, I think we have quite some time before we see a bear. 2018 is going to be the 1999 on internet stocks.
I’m holding ripple for long term. I hope ripple flies higher then bitcoin :)
The reach of bitcoin today is huge. It is just picking up in india in last 2 months or so. And when the population of around 1.3 billion and its very young and tech friendly country. If it reaches around 150 million masses in 2018. it is going to be a huge surge. i think next hype is coming from india.
I could see that and yeah, 2018 is going to be the year of cryptocurrency.
We thought 2017 was crazy... we ain't seen nothing yet!
I do see a pullback happening, but I don't think it's going to happen as soon as we expect it to. We're just entering the beginning stages of mass adoption. Once Bitcoin is known by practically the whole world and more companies adopt it into their infrastructure, I think that when we'll have to start being more cautious. Big banks and companies will try to manipulate the markets before buying in.
Ha ha, like that guy who lost 2 million dollars in 1 day trying to short Bitcoin?
It is all over the news! Most MSM stations have covered bitcoin this week. I have friends and family that have no clue what crypto is, talking about bitcoin.
With projects like the Finney phone, and all the great things being built on eth...2018 is looking pretty crazy!
Time to sit back and enjoy the roller coaster, because I am sure that is what this is going to be.
very good article. indeed I still feel not too easy to be always positive-minded. usually because there is an unpleasant experience or less good with it.
The pull back may be filled in by the number of people rushing in.
Will it go higher? Much! If crypto-currencies are going to be the new money, then we have to get close to 90% of the people into them.
Going from 1% to 90% is a lot.
But, maybe less that we think. As most of the "money" is tied up in bubbles and assets created out of thin air. The derivatives market cannot get into cryptos. (all the smart contracts would have already triggered, and everything come crashing down) And so many people are living hand to mouth. They literally will get into cryptos when their boss starts paying in cryptos.
Agreed, if we don't get any substantial pullback before Christmas then these prices will never be seen again. The rush after Christmas will be real as people flood in cause the "weird uncle" is crushing it in BTC. ;-)
Taking it a step further, what is the easiest way for a brand new entrant into the crypto space to participate. It's BTC, LTC, ETH so these will most likely see the vast majority of new money coming in.
I think from that we start to see old money (in this case last 2-5 years worth) get out of ETH, BTC, LTC and move into promising alt projects.
Giving bitcoin for Christmas is a real thing. I don't see any pullback taking us below $12K ever and definitely not before new years.
When granny starts getting in, then you'll know that the end is nigh my friend.
Would you say buy what you can afford and hold?
I'm holding my BTC till 40k or bust. Of course, I have already taken my initial money out and am free rolling now, so its easy for me to say that :-)
Good for you. Maybe 400k + or bust.
