I expect when BTC breaks out money will flow back from alts to Bitcoin. The next run will be based on fundamentals like Lightning Network, Wallstreet entering and instability in the world. These are cases for BTC and not for alts.

Poor bitcoin, maybe futures market has something to do with it.
I honestly think some people are scared of bitcoin at this point. I think some investors bought in at around or above the current price level. They got burned in the selloff.
I can really see this being true with the latecomer money. The people afraid of missing out, back in late 2017.
It becomes a chicken and egg thing. The investors want to see it go up before they recommit. But it won't go up until they invest.
People are learning that diversification and bigger gains can be made than only being a bitcoin maximalist :)
This is great news for the cryptospace. it means we are building a stronger foundation to the whole scene.
