Like many of you I have been logging into EOBOT regularly for the past few weeks, looking at my mining rewards and checking the prices of coins. One coin on there that I had initially dismissed has been gaining my attention recently, not least due to its steadily rising value.

CureCoin works in association with Folding@home (http://folding.stanford.edu/), a Stanford University project aimed at harnessing the power of idle computers to help fund research that simulates protein folding, computational drug design, and other types of molecular dynamics. If Folding@home could be described as the engine of project, then CureCoin can be called the vital boost that engine needs to make the project profitable.
According to its founder, Joshua Smith, CureCoin could potentially end all disease in 100 years. A bold claim some would say, but is he on to something?
Smith believes that the revolutionary power of CureCoin lies in its ability to provide a financial incentive to giving. I agree with this, since most people are motivated primarily by self-interest. Giving to those in need might make some people feel good about themselves, but for many people this isn’t enough. Once you tell people they can make and profit and give to charity at the same time they will be far more motivated to do so.
So can this coin end all disease in 100 years as its founder claims? Perhaps not, however the future of this coin appears very bright. With a low circulating supply of around 24 million, its value has the potential to skyrocket in the coming months.
Plus, think of all the millionaire philanthropists and celebrities that will be queuing up to buy the coin, in a bid to look both trendy and virtuous at the same time as crypto goes mainstream. This could boost CureCoin’s profile to unprecedented levels, drawing in investors from around the world and from all levels of society.
I will certainly be picking some up.
