I think that some forward-thinking musicians are going to ride the power of the #crypto wave to epic success. A lot of people are beginning to understand the power of blockchain technology and the revolutionary impact it can have on almost every industry. I believe it’s impact will reach far into the music industry via some great new technology and platforms for sharing music, connecting with fans, and accepting payments and royalties.
Blockchain projects like #Bitcoin and #Litecoin are perfect for accepting payments online for music and merchandise, and there are already some pretty innovative projects like @musicoin aimed at decentralizing the music streaming and payment process. There's about to be a flood of new technology just like this that will be extremely disruptive for the music industry, in the best way possible!
I also believe that a ton of musicians are tech savvy and forward thinking enough to benefit from investing in bitcoin, altcoins and the blockchain ecosystem in general. Musicians especially need multiple sources of revenue and learning to day trade or responsibly buy and #hodl cryptocurrency can be an epic source of income. I truly believe that the crypto market is still young and is set for some extremely epic growth. I’m personally invested in projects such as BTC, LTC, ETH, ETN, XRP and I’m stoked to see it all grow! There’s a ton of people out there in the crypto world asking “When Lambo”? I wont be buying a Lambo if crypto goes to the moon, I’ll be paying off my house and building a dope ass studio in the basement! Let’s go bitcoin!
MUSICIANS: ACCEPTING CRYPTO FOR PAYMENTS IS A GOOD IDEA.
Musicians should seriously consider understanding crypto so they can start accepting crypto payments online for their music and merchandise! I’m personally excited to accept Bitcoin and Litecoin for my next album. I’m even considering giving a better deal to those who pay with crypto for the album so I can entice more people to pay this way! An amazing recent example of this is hip-hop mogul and vitamin water millionaire (lol) 50 Cent. He found yet another way to make himself rich by accepting Bitcoin for his album. He was the first rapper to accept bitcoin for his Animal Ambition album when it was released in 2014. The project reportedly earned him 700 bitcoins in total. Each bitcoin was worth about $662 at the time so 50 Cent pocketed approximately $463,000 in sales. When the story broke recently he claimed to have made $8 MILLION DOLLARS from bitcoin. That’s a pretty good example of why musicians should accept crypto don’t you think?!
Let’s see how far blockchain technology will reach into music! I’m excited to see if we can use #Steemit as musicians to spread our art and make new connections and fans. Let’s see if we can #hiphoptheblockchain!
