As we all know block chain technology goes beyond just currency and can be utilized in many different ways. The United Nations most recently displayed a perfect example of this.
A project produced by the United Nations World Food Program produced Ethereum based vouchers for 10,000 Syrian refugees that were redeemable at certain market places. The project ended in so called success on May 31st.
The WFP looks forward to creating more blockchain based projects such as this one and now has a goal of 'Zero Hunger'
What do you all think about this implication of ethereum? Do you think that the UN provided a better service by using ethereum? Personally I wish more was published about the possible risks of the project but coin desk did receive this information exclusively so a clear bias is standing
