TL;DR
The short version is that XLM, Stellar Lumens is projected to hit $100 USD by end of 2018, or Aug, 2019 at the latest.
But you know that predictions are like a$$holes, everybody's got one, and most of them STINK! At least Stan is citing outside sources, and it checks out with his experiences also. He's a BIG Backer of ETH, it is his main HODL coin, but he sees this Distributed Ledger system as a strong alternative to the BTC, SHA-256 system. Does anyone remember another time I referred to DISTRIBUTED LEDGERS in my Blog? :D IMF (yes, THAT IMF) is going to Distributed Ledger Systems for the new SDR, which will replace the WRC (world reserve currency) system. Oh My Goodness!!! Do you believe this? Could be a total game changer in Crypto! BTC Killers ABOUND!!! ;)
The fundamentals indicate that this might be the answer for the older, slower blockchain junk. This distributed ledger thingy is like a hybrid, it will use encrypted transmissions "like blockchain" I presume, but shorter "strings" and the "coin" is not carried on the "strings"... The ledgers are on what they call "trusted servers" which will have to be updated on occasion, obviously. It's kind of a debit/credit system from what I understand, and more applicable to FIAT systems, but works well with cryptos too.
