Why i think Bitcoin ISN'T finished...

I'm sure we are all reading the bearish reports coming from a lot of recognised outlets. Being invested in bitcoin and several altcoins im always on the lookout for news and the last few weeks all i've read are report like the 'bubble is burst' or 'Bitcoin is finished'. Well i'm here to say in my opinion it's not! I'd like to analyse the historical performance of Bitcoin to make my case.

Look at the graph from the end of 2013 - the end of 2014:

That is some year long bearish trend, following an all time high where the value of Bitcoin increased by over 8X.

If we roll the clock forward we can see that the price didn't recover that same all time high for well over 2 years and in fact we didn't see a change to a bearish market for over a year!

Now let's look at the graphs for 2015, 2016 and 2017:

They show a general upward trend, ending each year on a high. However, it wasn't until December 2017 that a new all time high was set (a crazy 25X based on its Jan price), beating that set in 2014.

Finally let's look at the end of last year and the year to date:

To me the graph shows 3 decreasing waves and is probably most similar to the 2014 graph.

So what am i trying to say. I'm trying to say that the crypto world has been here before, it survived and came back stronger. For the past 3 years June time has always been the starting point for the switch into a bullish market, there has been a correction around September time and then a run up until the end of the year. My gut feel is that we will see a summer bull run followed by a pull back in the fall.

However, even if this doesn't happen, the last time Bitcoin hit an all time high it took a full year and a half to start recovering in which time it dropped 2/3rds of its value. So given that we have just come off the back of a colossal all time high the market may just need a year or so to cool off.

So my advice is to stick with your investments, do your own research and look for new and exciting opportunities. This is a game played over years not days or weeks. I highly doubt many people mined a tone of Bitcoin and got rich the next day. They held it for months if not years, be patient! Also if you’re trading remember the golden rules: Buy low sell high and you haven't lost until you sell!
