[TRX, EOS, ZIL, VEN, ADA]: Be ready for top 5 MainNet launches

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago (edited)

We have witnessed that year 2017 was the full of promises and speculation by the blockchain based project startups, where in 2018 cryptocurrency market has seen major meltdown of the year in top most crypto currencies. Apart of this 2018 is filled with blockchain projects that migrate away from the protective wings of other blockchains and start operating on their own mainnet.

Top five projects that are revolutionary in their own regard are Tron (TRX), EOS (EOS), Zilliqa (ZIL), VeChain (VEN) and Cardano (ADA).

In this post we’ll take a look at top 5 promising mainnet releases in May and June 2018 onwards.

1. TRON (TRX) - May 31st

As per Tron (TRX) website, Mainnet is scheduled for release at the end of this month i.e May 31st. The Tron project has an ambitious and welcome plan of decentralizing the internet and its infrastructure.

2. EOSIO - June 2nd

EOS

EOS MainNet launch is schedule in June 2nd at 22:59:59 UTC. EOS mainnet plans on being the most powerful platform for decentralized apps with superior smart contract capability to that of Ethereum. Over the last couple of weeks, the price of EOS has exploded significantly and attracted lot of investment. The current market cap (as per CoinMarketCap) is $11,152,997,184 USD.

3. VeChain (VEN) - June 30th

A third project with a MainNet launch in Q2 this year is VeChain (VEN). The launch of the VeChain Thor mainnet might turn out to be the biggest one of this list. The new blockchain, known as VeChanThor, is currently in the process of a Public Alpha Test via select testers that number 100.

4. Zilliqa - Q3

Zilliqa is a new blockchain platform that is designed to scale in an open, permission-less distributed network securely and the project also has a TestNet version currently available. It was released on the 31st of March.

The core feature that makes Zilliqa scalable is sharding — dividing the network into several smaller component networks (called shards) capable of processing transactions in parallel. The MainNet will be released in the third quarter of this year and actual date is yet to be announced.

5. Cardano (ADA) - Q2 / Q3

The last and interesting project in this list is Cardano (ADA). As per the official website the current roadmap states that the MainNet version was released on the 29th of September last year. However, the MainNet is currently only available to trusted nodes run by the Cardano Foundation, IOHK and Emurgo.

Also on the ADA roadmap, is the Shelley project that aims to decentralize the MainNet. The Shelley is focused on ensuring that key elements are in place so that the technology grows into a fully decentralised and autonomous system. Throughout Q2 and Q3 of 2018 the features of Shelley will be released, starting with delegation and stake pool testnets.

Details will be announced shortly for an official registration process for stake pools. Watch latest video below with Duncan Coutts, IOHK Director of Engineering, that explores the progress of Shelley.

I love community here on steemit that i managed to surround myself with.

I just checked your app.

"Enter no of posts:" -> it doesnt seem to work fine. I chosed 5 posts and it showed only 2 (because it counted also 3 resteemed posts, which i didnt select to be showed). that's just a little bit confusiding

you mind telling me what your app is created for? i can see listing of my posts which is already something. any other purpose ?

perhaps you could add information about list of those who engaged (upvoted/flagged/commented) a post? that would be very usefull
