Earlier in the day, I entertained a "what if" scenario pertaining to the net neutrality drama. Real implementation of the internet already has fast lanes, subscriber preference, back doors for bandwith restrictions, and blacklisting.
When it comes to Federal regulations and making an increase to business revenue (current narrative), fines only become an additional business expense.
So, what gives? Why is there now an issue of lanes? I foresee some preference for spying devices, autonomous cars, and advertisements. Hell, have you ever noticed that Ads seem to load the fastest on every site?
I'm not saying I have any evidence or groundwork for this idea. However, I think it's a risk which no media outlets are covering in their weak kneed protest of the changes coming. Sometimes reading between the lines gets the real benefits.
If FCC were to establish the lanes, they could help centralize currency mining centers by restricting traffic to regulated business ISP restrictions.
I know this thought process is a bit out there, but think it over some.
