Do you mine crypto? Check out this tool I use to manage all my rigs

in #cryptocurrency6 years ago (edited)

Full disclosure, I hardly mine now, I sold most of my GPUS off. I do have a few I mine with but nothing like I used to. I still use this tool as I love it and it makes my life 1000x easier.

Introducing Awesome Miner

I'm going to put this out here right away because this might be a show stopper for some people. Awesome miner runs on Windows and works best when your rigs run windows but it isn't required that your rigs run on Windows, but the central management console does need to run on Windows.

With that being said, Awesome miner allows you to do all of the following and more all from a central console and even your iPhone:

  • Start/Stop Miners
  • Monitor Temperatures and Throttle
  • Profit Switching
  • Change a rig or group of rigs to a new pool instantly
  • Notification for many things from offline, not finding share in x minutes, gpu temp issues and so on
  • Auto-recovery and restart of miners
  • Support for most mining engines and asics
  • Manage multiple pools and even have fail over pools
  • Overclock gpus and monitor gpus performance
  • Scripting Support
  • Overview Dashboard

All these features can be centrally managed and controlled. Want to globally change all your rigs from Etheremine to Nanopool? Just change the drop down and hit save and restart them. They all are now mining off Nanopool. You can have pool groups that automatically fail over to a different pool if one is inaccessible.

You can manage all your rigs in one place, tell how well each one is doing and even be alerted if one isn't performing at the correct level. Easily switch mining one coin to another across as many rigs as you want.

Although I don't use it, there is a profitability system to allow you to auto mine the most profitable coins.

Overview Dashboard

image.png

One of my favorite features is being able to get a quick glance at what is going on from my iPhone or iPad using the web interface or the Dashboard tab in the application.

Web Interface

image.png

While the web interface has fewer features than the app, it allows you to remotely monitor and control your rigs while on the go or just out back in the pool.

This works equally well on the iPhone or Android devices

Setup

Set up is super easy, you can have 20 machines in the software and mining within an hour once you know how to use it. Within 30 seconds you can switch all 20 rigs to use a different pool mining a totally different coin.

GPU Overclocking

Depending on the license you purchase, the higher licenses include gpu overclocking. This allows you to use the app to overclock GPUs remotely.

If you have a professional license, the overclocking works using Afterburner, the most popular overclocking solution for mining.

Scripting

You can use the scripting support in the higher license tiers to do some advance monitoring and profit testing. Most users won't need this functionality but if you have a lot of rigs there are some cool things you can do.

Cost and Licensing

Pricing ranges from free for 2 rigs to $700 for 100+ miners. Each license upgrade gives you additional features, but most functionality is available with the $85 license which allows you to use 10 rigs, and 20 rigs for $170 with the GPU overclocking. The license is a one-time fee and includes upgrades.

Check them out at Awesome Miner.

I really can't wait to see you

interesting post and good to know my first witness in Steemit

Past few months were not good for Cryptocurrencies. and crashing in price made people frustrated and they are starting exit from cryptos.
But who have vision for long terms are holding their coins till market will show their actual power.
Future of crypto is better than past, yet Governments are not supporting.
Indian Chines and South Korean governments are still opposing Crypto.

Every exit is someone buying.

@themarkymark is antminer is still work for etn (electroneum) mining ?

ETN mobile mining now slow

Yes, @cryptoforex0 we don't know Where is ETN team and what are they doing, There are lots of issues with ETN mining as well as ETN mobile apps.
I feel that now users are not taking interest in ENT because couple of week ago there are about 180k ACTIVE MINERS were active. but now there or less than 130K miners are active.
And Investors are also frustrated with ETN.

But I hope ETN will gives us huge profit in next few years because it's a good coins.

As far as I know yes, but suspect not very profitable. I don't really do anything with Electroneum.

Are you quitting mining due to the increasing competition or maybe the FGPA mining?

I stopped most of mining rigs a long time ago (3-4 months ago) when the opportunity to sell all my GPUs for list price after mining with them for a long time. Little did I know they would go up even higher, and profitability would go up even more.

I am still happy with my decision, it wasn't ideal timing but it was a very good time to sell them off. If I had a crystal ball, I would have kept mining.

Well, if you have a crystal ball, there will be more profitable things to do. Maybe use the money from GPU selling to buy some EOS RAM? Haha.

I've just started mining anyway, just a really small attempt with few GPUs and mine only newest and unknown coins, hoping to hit the jackpot someday.

You won't hit the jackpot mining, it's a slow trickle. You can accelerate that trickle with more investment, but it won't ever be a jackpot in 99.999999% cases.

Harsh truth it is. Guess I expect the same of what you have said looking at the crazy spawn rate of new coins everyday. Maybe I should stay away from those completely new coins but stick with something within top 500.

I hope you got the same energy in person 😁

I think the price of electricity in the country you are in will also be a big determining factor in terms of profitability. In my country electricity is cheaper in lower income group areas, so you have a better chance of making a profit if you mine crypto in the ghetto. :)

@netscape101 you're on the @abusereports naughty list!

Bad Steemian! Bad!

Even in your own country, it varies dramatically, in the US I think it varies from 4 cents to 20+ cents a kwh.

The time is near pussy

Can u guide me about minig rigs benefit now or not please @themarkmark

Mining rigs mine crypto, typically Ethereum. Not sure what you are looking for. There are lots of resources on YouTube and Google on how to build one and what coins are worth mining.

Have a look at whattomine.com.

Bro i think mining rig very slow mining bitcoin or eth.

Karma's a bicth

Is Crypto Currency still profitable?

ok i know.....

seems to make the process fairly straightforward

i got all this info now verywell.....thank you for sharing ....

How much you assue is BTC will cross $25000 in end of 2018 or staring of 2019????

I don't believe we are looking at $25,000 by 2018, maybe not even by the end of 2019. I think it will get there eventually though.

Ok. So we can assue now tgis time it will take more time to reach it max. Ok thnx for you thought

You can't be sure of anything, no one knows what is happening.

Yeah . That is true my friend i agree with you.

This seems like a great tool. Will probably use it if I get around to mining. Ready made miners are very expensive to purchase here at the moment. A couple of friends and I considered mining over a year ago. But GFX cards are also so expensive and the best ones are never in stock. Import duties pushes breakeven period to about 7-9 months in some cases and ultimately we dropped the idea. Need to look into this again in the near future.

what is the compatibility options in the pool options? Can I mine any pool or are there a set given algorithms you can mine from?

You can mine any pool it supports an algorithm for, which as far as I have seen is 99% of the tokens out there that are minable.

I remember mining whole btc on my laptop, and later ~200 btc on a 3x5830 rig. Damn, I sold those btc for ~$5 each. And at the time the forums were full of posts about how mining wasn't worth the electricity and only fools mined. Actually, only fools like me sold them.

Thanks for this post, interesting tool! Not sure if I will use it, as the price tag seems high for a small number of rigs (I only have a couple GPU rigs), but surely the functionality will be useful for others! Great content :)

Howdy!
