Bitcoin private (BTCP) will be adding a new feature (zk-Snarks) that will increase BTC's privacy.
This feature is already used in currencies; Zcash, Zclassic and Zencash.
Payments are posted in a public block chain, but the sender, recipient, and other transactional metadata remain unidentifiable.
Privacy is one of the most sought-after features in crypto-coins. "Coins like Monero, Zcash among others has been growing brutally because of this feature."
When will the fork happen?
On February 28, a zclassic and bitcoin blockchain snapshot will be performed. Any person holding ZCL or BTC in a supported wallet or exchange will be credited to Bitcoin Private (BTCP) in a ratio of 1: 1. For example, if you have 15.4 ZCL and 0.1 BTC, you will receive 15.5 BTCP .
A total of 20 million coins will be created by combining the current amount of BTC and ZCL.
What is a difficult fork?
A difficult fork is when a single encryption splits in two. Occurs when the existing code in an encryption changes, resulting in an old and new version. This case is somewhat unique, so ZCL and BTC will be co-bifurcated in Bitcoin Private (BTCP).
For those who are interested in buying BTCP, it is worth buying zclassic.
