I read a post the other day saying that if you just put rubbish into the signup code when applying for a Bittrex account, they will actually open an account for you.
I was sceptical, but it was worth a crack, so I filled in the form.
Sure enough about three days later I got an email telling me I could open an account. Woohoo!
But…
This is not like opening an account anywhere else, so if you are planning on doing it, set aside a few hours to get it all done. The process has many, many steps and then you have to upload ID and a selfie and, and, and…. Just to be able to make a deposit.
So after many system generated emails, downloading Google Authenticator, uploading images etc, I now have an account that I can use (hopefully) to trade my SBD.
What a palava!
Contrast that with gopax.co.kr the new Korean exchange that has just listed STEEM and SBD, which took about five minutes to sign up and get verified.
I now have more than one or two was of getting my SBD out and trading it, which is useful. It also lets me see what SBD and STEEM is being traded at around the world.

Wowzers, I didnt even know Bittrex was limiting or had stopped taking new accounts - I'm so glad I made my account way back when (about a year ago now).
They say Bittrex is the most expensive exchange re withdrawal fees etc and I would probably agree with them, but being in little ol New Zealand we really dont have many choices yet. I'm glad to have been using Bittrex for about a year now and having fallen in love (and habit) with the layout, options and all the rest of the jazzy jazzy stuff that comes with it. I'm a hardcore Bittrex fan!! haha
What exchange do you then use to sell your BTC for fiat cash? (Not saying you would automatically sell but you know, always gotta plan through for those just incases) - I really like using Kiwi-coin. Its easy to use (a bit of a rigmarole to sign up also but thats just shows how protected everything is and I appreciate that aspect) and easy peasy payment right into your NZ bank account within an hour or so.
I love cryptocurrency 😍
Thanks for that. I'm using Daasset to swap to NZD and get it into my bank account. I've run a couple of tests to prove the process - just small amounts, and so far so good.
I'll check out kiwi-coin and see if I can sign up there as well. It doesn't hurt to have more than one avenue ;-)
Well done that man, you will be rich before you know it [[skymaiden is looking over your shoulder, hard luck]
I'll be a rich man about 10 years after I'm dead at this rate.
I haven't got a hope then,
