There's a growing list of world class international banks using Ripple right now and that list isn't getting any shorter.
Today Ripple announced that the three largest banks in Japan are now Ripple "enabled". This brings to sixty-one, the number of banks in a Japan based consortium using Ripple, and they make no bones about wanting to expand this further to non-Japanese banks operating in Japan.
Marcus Treacher, global head of strategic accounts at Ripple said “we commend these banks in Japan for taking a giant step forward on behalf of their customers. This is a great example of a regional banks converging into a global real-time payments network for the greater good".
It looks like Ripple has momentum working for them at the moment and so it was interesting to note that they also announced a common mobile application for payments that will unite all the banks’ customers both domestically and globally to be launched later this year. I can't wait to see this and it's subsequent effect on Ripple's price.
Ripple seems to be getting a lot of unfair criticism from the crypto purists out there, but I can't see it lasting. Many of the crypto-nay-sayers of yesteryear have changed their tune with regard to Bitcoin and Ethereum and have jumped on the bandwagon and I think it's just a matter of time before we see the same trend manifest with Ripple. They have a great team, banks clearly think their product works and they're on a roll. Is it time to splash out?
everyone that hates on ripple needs to read the facts, 3.5 sec transactions and 1500 transactions per second? built for scalability. I assume you are a fellow xrp investor so ill follow ya :)
Exactly! First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win. Ripple is winning despite all the negativity. I'm a fan. Thanks cryptotraderx, I'll follow you too.
