The Cryptocurrency Trader's tool kit: Best Websites and Apps for trading Crypto

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago (edited)

As a cryptocurrency trader who invests about as much time in this market as a full time job, I like to think I know a few good tools for you to use when your trading including different websites and apps that I used every day that I just wanted to share with all of you so here they are.

coinmarketcap.com

I think most people know what coinmarketcap.com is, but if you don't, basically it's a website which shows useful information about every different cryptocurrency out there including: market capitalization, price, supply, and plenty of others. And here's something you may not have known you can do that if you run a website you may like. If you go over to tools and click on website widgets, you can create your own price tickers for your favorite crypto and display it on your website. It's very customizable and easy to use so if you haven't already, check it out.

Bitcoin ATM Map

So you don't need you use this app but this is the one I use. Bitcoin ATM Map is a map app which shows the locations of every bitcoin ATM around the world and every teller who accepts it. The app is very useful but if you don't like this one for any reason you can just go to the play store and good 'bitcoin atm locator' and get dozens of different results.

localbitcoins.com

Localbitcoins.com is a website which allows you to buy and sell Bitcoin in your local area and choose how you want to pay. It can be great to eliminate the risk of buying or selling large amounts on an exchange. There is also a reputation system so you can know which sellers are good and which ones aren't.

Blockfolio

Blockfolio is one of the greatest apps and will become your greatest addiction. Basically it lets you check the price of all of your favorite coins on your phone whenever you would like. It has basically every cryptocurrency in existence so no need to worry about that. You can set price alerts, log your transactions to check your profit/loss and theres even a handy news section so that's great. If you don't have this app, decide how much you care about living an addiction free life, then download blockfolio.

Poloniex

It doesn't have to be Poloniex and I know some people prefer places like Bittrex or Kraken, but every crypto trader needs a good reliable exchange to swap cryptocurrency. Not all exchanges are different but generally they all follow a similar set up, you have your wallets where you store your different cryptocurrency(I hope you aren't keeping them their long), you have your market, where you place buy and sell orders, and you have your profile. Just make sure when you are setting up an account you take every precaution, it's not out of the ordinary for an exchange to be hacked, which is why you always move your currency to good hardware of paper wallets, but that's an article for another time, thanks for ready, don't forget to upvote. If you have any suggestions or additions post them in the comments down below. Bye.
