Remember when crypto cards went to hell with the Wavecrest incident? Remember something that was absolutely unaffected? If you remember Monaco, you remember right. Centra is also unaffected. But they are a late comer and their team isn't as strong as Monaco. Why am I saying this? Well first of all I've been around Monaco since the day ti went up over 400% in a day. When I first came across the project it was the crypto/blockchain project that gave me the best first impressions.
It's still giving me the best impressions. The main reason Monaco didn't face any troubles was because their commitment to 100% compliance everywhere they go. Remember that the CEO Kris Marszalek went from $0 to $100m in revenue twice in the South East Asian region as a serial entrepreneur. IMO SEA is the single best breeding ground for cryptos. Why? Remember South Korea. You've got that it East Asia. Japan is already very tech savvy but their economy is stagnant. SEA has the right mix of some incredible growth, openness to technology and lots and lots of heads. SEA has Singapore and Hong Kong. Monaco is located in Bahnhofstrasse 21, 6300 Zug, Switzerland which is one of the best places for cryptos on the planet and keep a good presence in EU.
Monaco is a VISA Program Manager. So they have no roadblocks except for VISA itself when it comes to issuing cards. You can use the card at 40 million Visa accepting location. They also allow free ATM withdrawals and LoungeKey™ Airport Lounge Access. You can read more about benefits here: https://mona.co/cards
Please note that you don't have to spend a penny to get your card. Compare that with everybody else. How much are you paying annually for the cards you are using? Not only that Monaco is planning to get into credit business too. So not just TenX, Centra, Metal etc, but also SALT (A really great project) is an eventual target of Monaco.
Go to https://www.nerdwallet.com and review what the other credit/debit cards are doing. I'll tell you that barely anything has a resemblance of style or novelty. Monaco is Bold. Also check some other card unboxing videos to see how they compare. Even the Midnight Blue which comes with no monthly or annual fees and free shipping looks like this:
You can be proud waving the cheap card and look like a millionaire in front of people who are lagging behind the curve. TenX just had their cards shutdown by VISA due to non-compliance and now they have to issue new cards and despite being located in Singapore they are trying to spread TenX is EU out of all places. I get that it's easier than Mainland China but seriously? Low population, heavy regulation + bureaucracy + an economy that is getting worse......
Monaco’s vision is to make millions of people (who don’t even know about crypto) ditch their current credit cards for a Monaco Card. Their battle is with bankers and they are going slow and steady at it since day 1. This isn't some idea they picked up. They chose the perfect region to focus and they are making cryptos spendable and eventually crypto based credits; All the while looking pretty amazing!
i see your enthusiasm for this, it could be big
They are not without competition. But Monaco does everything better at times even lower prices. Capitalism 101 says that's the path to market domination.

Very informative and timely information. Thanks!
I installed the Android app a couple days ago and used it to go through the identity verification and get onto the waiting list. I am in the US and was required to provide an identity document (passport / driver's license) and a selfie photo. The app handled the process which made it quite painless and slick.
I don't own any MCO at the moment but will certainly pick up 50 to lock up for the Ruby Steel card and place a limit order to grab another 450 (for the next tier card) in case there is a day when price crashes. I do a fair amount of traveling so the Lounge Key perk would be amazing.
At the current state of things below $15 is a fire sale. MCO has been moving sideways between $14-$20 we are at a genuine bottom. We may stay here for a while. When you ladder out of one of your profitable trades, put some on MCO.
So monaco is accepted anywher visa is accepted? the only fees come from exchanging crypto to fiat? And you get cashback in MCO from every purchase, is this all correct?

oh boy I'm so bullish on monaco and I'm confindent that soon it is time for my investment to pay off :-) love it
It's going to like the early bull run. Maybe not 400% in a day but it could do that in a week. Also keep an eye on WTC, SONM, WABI
got em, except wabi which I will check on later, thanks for the pointers!
The claim about B2C is better than B2B is bogus. But other than that the subreddit was decent. WTC will be the Oracle of supply chains and Wabi will be a more front end company competing with many other competitors.
thank you so much for bringing up such valuable information! I really enjoy your reasearch, keep up the great work!
Now a couple of years later I have just heard of this card and applied
I'm always very happy to see my articles get read years after it was write. I mean this review was written over 2 years ago and things have gone really well for Monaco since then. They are even giving 5% cashback for the top tier. Thank you for commenting :-)
Magnificent information, I will deal with this card. The first impression is magnificent.
It all comes from the team and vision. Those 2 are the most important factors when it comes to long term business success.
Interesting, thanks for sharing - TenX caught my attention ahead of Monaco and (unfortunately) it looks like I backed the wrong one (with the recent TenX probs with VISA!).
I will check out Monaco again
TenX will also be a success. It's my #2 crypto-card. TenX still has the first mover advantage. But Monaco will surpass it. Why pick #2 when you can pick #1. For short term trades TenX(PAY) is still a great pick.
This is freaking awesome and the card look sweet! I didn’t even know they existed- will def check it out!
Glad to have you introduced.
So does one buy the coin to get the card or sign up for card somewhere? Does card work in USA?
I'm in the US. Install the app on your phone and go through the verification process to get onto the waiting list.
Thanks.
Midnight Blue doesn't require you to buy MCO and from what I know you can get it in USA.

very inforamative
Monaco seemed like a scam project when it first launched but they're starting to seem more legit having met some of the milestones on the roadmap. Still, I hope investors realize that Monaco tokens are promissory notes (loans) with a hard cap on returns, unlike some of the other paycard tokens out there.
The upside is that it's probably more legit from a regulatory standpoint but the downside is that you might be paying more for the token than what its top end return may be.
Please do your research everybody!
