Goatse.cx the popular shock site that became notorious in the early 2000's across the internet for this image (WARNING: EXTREMELY NSFW) "http://goatse.ru", after a long period of turmoil where it changed hands between multiple auction sites (Some asking up to $500,000 for the domain!), has now been acquired by new owners.
After originally offering subdomains so that users could take advantage of the iconic domain, the new owners now appear to be starting their own Cryptocurrency. Not much information is given about the potential new coin, however the new owners have previously shown some interest in DogeCoin as in January 2014 the front page of the site was changed to a youtube advert for DogeCoin, it was then later changed to read:
"Goatse Coin is a brand new Bitcoin-alternative cryptocurrency that is currently in development by Goatse.cx and will be launched shortly. If you are interested in getting notification at launch, please leave your email below."
