Qiibee: a refreshing approach to loyalty rewards

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago (edited)

Say good-bye to all those loyalty cards scattered in your junk drawer...

The wallet and the chiropractor

I used to have a large wallet, stuffed with my driver’s license, credit and debit cards, a bit of cash, membership cards, receipts, and a bunch of loyalty cards to various stores. It was quite a bulky wallet and probably caused a few visits to the chiropractor over the time I carried it.

Eventually, I gave up on carrying the giant wallet and slimmed down, foregoing the benefits of loyalty cards, save a few that I used really often, like Air Miles and my gasoline rewards card. The other loyalty cards? Well, they were abandoned in a drawer somewhere, never to see the light of day.

It’s kind of a shame, really. Those unspent loyalty points sitting there, hidden away, collecting dust, never to be seen again. Maybe I could have been drawn back to those stores, or maybe someone else could have used those points if they had the opportunity to do so. Instead, they were basically wasted.

The solution: qiibee

qiibee has a solution for sore backs and wasted loyalty points. Through blockchain technology, qiibee offers users the ability to take full advantage of all the loyalty points they accumulate in a way that benefits them and the businesses providing the rewards.

The first problem qiibee solves? Fragmentation. Having a pile of cards scattered throughout the household or tucked away in overstuffed wallets is inconvenient and impractical. By partnering with many major brands, qiibee makes it possible to store all of those loyalty rewards in one wallet, digitally. Now that’s a lot easier on your wallet, and your chiropractor bill!

Say you love a certain fast food burger restaurant. You go there regularly, and get rewarded for your loyalty by accumulating points that eventually reward you with a free burger. This motivates you to keep coming back to this restaurant to earn the reward.

One of the most successful and popular loyalty programs is Air Miles. You might shop at certain stores that reward Air Miles, and might even prefer to use a certain credit card that rewards you with Air Miles over one that does not. This is a very effective way for a business to engage customers like you and to reward you for your loyalty.

Now, of course, if you’re a frequent flyer who loves burgers, these two loyalty programs will be highly effective. But what about all those other loyalty rewards you have that you don’t use on a frequent basis? qiibee offers an innovative solution: a free marketplace that allows you to trade your loyalty points freely between users, just like traders may trade cryptocurrencies on exchanges.

So you might trade those loyalty points you earned from the body wash store - the points you will rarely use - for free burgers, or to increase your pool of Air Miles. Now, the loyalty points for the body wash store will go to good use, too, instead of being wasted, occupying space in your bulky wallet.

Using qiibee’s loyalty wallet, you can even explore places that reward and redeem qiibee points. Your points are at your fingertips, digitally stored securely on the blockchain instead of taking up space on a bunch of different cards scattered throughout your household. This creates real value for all customers, with tokens stored securely on the blockchain for immediate access, any time and anywhere. This will change the loyalty program sector for the better. With points that have real value to customers, users will be drawn back to participating businesses, knowing they will be able to take full advantage of the loyalty points they earn.

How does a business participate in the qiibee loyalty program?

You might imagine that joining a program like this would be a complicated task, being that it’s all pretty technical blockchain stuff. It’s actually amazingly simple. A business decides on a loyalty budget, and simply converts the designated budget into tokens. The rest is taken care of on qiibee’s side.

It really can’t get much simpler.

Businesses can continue using their own apps and interfaces with the qiibee tokens, or they can use a freely available developer kit from qiibee to customize their front-ends for interactions with customers. The team at qiibee is happy to help out with the setup process through this open-source program.
