The deputy minister of finance of the Russian Federation Alexey Moiseyev has declared that cryptocurrencies can be trading at the exchange. For this purpose there aren't enough only corresponding regulations. According to Moiseyev, at the exchange it is the most true to quote cryptocurrencies as derivative financial instruments (derivatives) which aren't provided with a basic asset. That is, not cryptocurrencies, but futures and options for them will actually be trading.
Before the Central Bank and the Ministry of Finance suggested to regulate cryptocurrencies as "digital goods" or "other property".
Such development of the situation won't become surprise for large exchange brokers through whom trade at the exchange becomes available to a general population. Retail brokers BKS, investment holding "Finam" and "Opening Broker" which enter in Top-5 of rating of the Moscow exchange on the volume of client operations, report about interest of the clients trade in cryptocurrencies.
"We have recorded sharp growth of requests of clients for consultation about a possibility of trade in cryptocurrency. If there were several inquiries in a week, now earlier - tens", - the chief of the department on work with clients of investment holding "Finam" Dmitry Lesnov declares.
He emphasizes that as legal status of cryptocurrencies in the Russian Federation isn't clear, the Russians investing in bitcoin act at own risk. According to him, clients of Finam are interested in legality, reliability and transparency of transactions with cryptocurrencies.
"Recently clients began a thicket to ask the questions concerning trade in cryptocurrency. I believe that it is substantially connected with the agiotage which has arisen around this subject in media in recent months", - the head of department of Internet trading "Opening the Broker" Alexander Dubrov emphasizes. He also considers that interest is observed from investors who likes to risk.
"Together with the sharp growth of a rate of cryptocurrencies in May also interest from clients has grown. Now daily we receive tens of requests for investments into cryptocurrencies", - the managing director of BKS Broker Ruslan Smirnov reports.
Despite interest of investors, the Russian brokers don't provide service in trade in cryptocurrencies yet. So, BKS has added their quotation to daily publications about the market of cryptocurrencies, in "Opening the Broker" hold consultations, telling about legal bases and the related potential risks and Finam gives an opportunity of investments into fund which puts only in bitcoin. However, if regulators have on own initiative begun to allow an opportunity emergence of cryptocurrencies at the Russian exchanges, it can soon become a reality.
