Great reply and nice article linked, and I didn't know the definition: Crypto - one who adheres or belongs secretly to a party or group. I think that's interesting, as by that definition there are definitely 'cryptos' on Steemit.
Usages are interesting, and I've been knocking an article around in my head for about a week now, I think I'm ready to write after this comment :-)
