The whole thing with cryptokitties is that the cat is out of the bag (lol). They had value as a result of a few factors, one includes opulence money, like some (all) of my cats, but it shows the whole power of the blockchain for uses that could take over say ebay. Akin to what a steem market smt will accomplish. Only difference is Steem will not have insane transaction fees, slow transaction times and not enough throughput for big loads.
Check this out.
This whole idea can replace auction type formats. And will be better accomplished through the Graphene technology.
