2018 is the Year of the Dog according to Chinese zodiac. This is a Year of Earth Dog, starting from Feb. 16, 2018 (Chinese New Year) and lasting to Feb. 4, 2019.
Dog is the eleventh in the 12-year cycle of Chinese zodiac sign. The Years of the Dog include 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, 2018, 2030, 2042...
Dog is man's good friend who can understand the human's spirit and obey its master, whether he is wealthy or not. The Chinese regard it as an auspicious animal. If a dog happens to come to a house, it symbolizes the coming of fortune. The invincible God Erlang in Chinese legend used a loyal wolfhound to help him capture monsters.

Dogecoin is a cryptocurrency featuring a likeness of the Shiba Inu dog from the "Doge" Internet meme as its logo. Introduced as a "joke currency" on 6 December 2013, Dogecoin quickly developed its own online community and reached a capitalization of US$60 million in January 2014 as of December 2017, it has a capitalization of US$1 billion.
Compared with other cryptocurrencies, Dogecoin had a fast initial coin production schedule: 100 billion coins were in circulation by mid-2015, with an additional 5.256 billion coins every year thereafter. As of 30 June 2015, the 100 billionth Dogecoin had been mined. While there are few mainstream commercial applications, the currency has gained traction as an Internet tipping system, in which social media users grant Dogecoin tips to other users for providing interesting or noteworthy content.

Today the Dogecoin is sitting at $0.008116 and a market cap of about $915,800,585 USD. It' s a very cheap coin worth investing. I would encourage you to put all your money in it, but I have some hopes with this coin. The most important thing for Doge is it' s community that I think will take the price up in 2018 and the fact that this year is the dog' s year in chinese zodiac I assume that there will be a lot of chinese people celebrating this year by buying some coins. Not to be expected the land on the moon, as many Doge fans wait, but it's an interesting coin to watch this year.
Go Doge!!!
Not sure what to make of this post. Ironic, however, that I read an article this morning on MarketWatch about crypto-bloggers who would try to propel the story of their currency online in the hopes of driving up the price.
It has worked before. And I'm not sure that's what you're doing here. But suggesting that anyone should "invest all of their money" in any single investment -- be it crypto, equities or any other venue -- is inappropriate. No one should ever put every dollar of savings that they have (or worse, use money not appropriated for savings and instead dip into their operating budget) to buy a single investment. Far too risky.
Everybody says that you should invest as much as you can afford to lose. That's a good strategy in my oppinion. I wouldn' invest everything in dogecoin either, but some yeah.
Me too!
