Crystals are part of the earth - they are frozen light - and they are here for us at this time. As physical manifestations of frozen light, crystals hold all the memories of the earth. Not only this, but they also enable us to form a bridge between this world and the spirit realms. They can be used to make contact with all realms - including inner earth and the lower realms, as well as the higher realms, galactic families, elementals and the angelic realms. For example, selenite is perfect for being in contact with the angelic realms and for lifting your vibration into that space so that you can be a clear channel. I often use it to ensure that my frequency is high enough to receive certain pieces of information or energetic downloads. I also use it to clear my aura of any debris that got picked up during the day. It is my belief that crystals are greatly underestimated and underused for healing.
My Favourite Crystal
My favourite crystal is Labradorite. It was the first crystal that I purchased with intention. The fact is, I have never studied crystals. I used to believe that I knew nothing about them. But then I came to be aware of an innate ability to connect with, understand and use crystals in healing. Crystals are super effective in healing- and in technology and through my connection to my crystals, I’m only beginning to scratch the surface of this innate knowledge.
Why do I Love Labradorite?
Why did I choose Labradorite? Previous to selecting it, I had never even heard the name, but it had been suggested to me by a spiritual mentor that I knew intuitively which crystal was needed in different situations, for myself and for others. So, I tapped into this “inner knowing” about crystals, sat quietly in contemplation, clearing my mind and asked myself - my higher self - which crystal would be best for me at this time, for my highest good and the highest good of the collective. The answer came clear: Labradorite. And, at the time, I didn’t ask why I needed Labradorite, but I held it in my consciousness and maybe one or two weeks later I was in Tulum, Mexico - out riding my bicycle. It started raining, and so stopped outside a crystal shop. I walked in and was presented with an array of beautiful Labradorites of differing colours: blue, green, yellow, and I think an orangey one.
I was immediately drawn to a bluish one and here I am now. My labradorite is my go-to. It’s very grounding. It’s very magnetic. It's very connected to the earth - and to all the elements.
For me,when tapping into the energy and memory of crystals, it is important to tap into my own self, rather than asking a spirit guide or reverting to the ego/ mind self. First, I start by intending to connect, blessing the crystal, sending it love from the heart. Then I start to feel the energy of the crystal, in either my receiving (left) hand or clasped in both hands and - quite often at this point - it will send healing energy to a part of my body. Sometimes crystals can show us where we need to focus in our physical body, but crystals connect to each of our bodies, not just the physical one.
The power of Labradorite can be felt in your heart chakra - it’s known to be good for giving you courage and for help with physical heart health too. It helps me greatly with my intuition and my creativity. It clears my space around my aura. I can hold it in my receiving hand for 5 to 10 minutes, and it completely clears my aura of any energetic debris that is picked up from interactions with others during the day. It helps me to make decisions. It activates my solar plexus and the connection between the solar plexus and heart chara to provide a clear channel for intent to heal.
So, Labradorite, does enable me to connect with star family and my spirit guides, but for me it is very much connected to the earth and the most important connection that it assists with is to my higher self - to my highest timeline, to the highest version of myself - who already knows what is best for me, given my chosen path. This is the voice that I always try to listen to first. Yes it’s fun to connect to our guides, to take advice, and to get other perspectives in such a way as when you ask friends and family for differing opinions. This is sometimes how we see our blind spots. Even encounters with people who we don’t really vibe with, can tell us something about how others see us. There is wisdom in every connection.
But Labradorite is all about connecting with self. And this is why I love it so much. It's the stone of transformation and metamorphosis. It's the stone I would recommend for those committed to their spiritual journey and looking to fully embody their truth / light at this time. It is the stone of patience and determination, that helps you remain on your path.
Eventually, you come right back to yourself. To you inner KNOWING. And for me, Labradorite is the perfect stone for this.

Labradorite is one that always captivates me, for its colours.. for the connection to creativity, the healing and support for the 5th chakra, the throat, to speak your truth... and of course all the things you wrote 💓
To share a little story, when Mazin and I met in Australia, he had (and still wears daily) a clear quartz neckless and I had this big mesmerising and square labradorite neckless, and when he had to go to NZ, we exchanged them and carried them every day, as a beautiful reminder of each others presence.

I LOVE Labradorite. It's one of my favourite crystals. I like to use it during meditation, as well as Amethyst. There are many things I left behind in Ireland when we came here but I brought all of my crystals. When we traveled to Thailand in 2019, I picked up a kg of fluorite. They were the most beautiful ones I'd ever seen. Since a kg of them would have been a bit much in our luggage, I gave each of the kids one, and brought one myself. The rest I gave to friends who own a shop that sells crystals etc.
Even they told me they'd never seen anything like it.
So the fluorite, amethyst and labradorite are my top three now.
And I own 2 crystal skulls that are very dear to me.

Amethyst is one of my faves for meditation too! Wow a whole bag of fluorite... what colour? I've had Malachite on my mind for a while, so it's obvious I need to get it!
They were mainly blue with some green. The one I kept for myself, however, is a beautiful blue with green on one side, and some purple in the middle. It's stunning.
Malachite is a beautiful crystal too. I have one but it's very small. I'd like to get my hands on a larger one.
