I did a new thing today. Once again, I stepped way out of my comfort zone. How far? well
here is my zone and i am way over there ➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️➡️ X
What did I do? I joined the ranks of Fiverr people. I am a fiverr-er? I'm not sure of the title. It doesn't matter. What does matter, every single day is the grind. Not to be confused with Grindr.
Why is this important? Youi haver to grind every single day. Do something, engage with someone or several someone's. Create something, tweak an already existing thing, A few years ago, when I was selling Life Insurance, I ran into so many new and not so new agents that thought getting there license and signing up with a company or an IMO was enough and that business would just flock to them. They need not ever go out and get business. Wanna guess how many were broke, disgusted and just quit? The point is, unless you are lucky and or have a great business location, chances are rather slim that people will flock to you. You must go to them. Meet them wherever they happen to be.
I am guilty of this, to an extent. I have built things, made web postings about things I was selling and then sat back and did nothing. The results were in no way surprising. I have done a lot of half measures of things, with less than stellar and varying results.
Recently, I made a couple of Notebooks on Amazon KDP.
Now, if you're not familiar with that, you're asking "Ok Craig, what the heck is that"? I'm glad you asked. It's Kindle Direct publishing. Essentially, you write a book, or create some form of LCB Low Content Books. Things like puzzle books, coloring books, journals etc. You go through the process of design, content creation etc. You follow the steps and upload your files. Amazon does their magic and in a few days, voila, you have a book for sale. The margins are not great. It's free to create and upload. Amazon charges a printing fee and a small percentage of the sale, which they deduct at time of printing. No muss, no fuss, you're a published author or in my case, creator. It's a sweet deal and it's a great way to start.
It's not crazy money but Im not complaining.
It's more than I had before I started and no one can ever take away the fact that I am "published". I am happy with what I have done as a beginner. You can see it [here](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09VWTT8DT/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_N2C88PW6DMQYRY7932BP via @amazon)
So, while it can be scary and very daunting, do it anyway. I'm 99.999% sure you won't die from it. Who knows, you might even become a best selling author or one of the top people on Fiverr or whatever platform you choose. Best of all, there are so many ways to start with 0 money out of pocket. Canva is free to use. Although, if you upgrade, there are a lot more designs, templates, art work etc.
Creative Fabrica is another killer resource for fonts, graphics etc. If you use my link, you get a free creative bundle. https://www.creativefabrica.com/referral-invite/MFBxeExENlFqc1E2Zmd0bnFtTWRBdz09Ojo5GHjlppl6l8R8YNmZ4Y_X
Go out there, create, sell, do. There is no excuse, really not to. No money? I've shown you ways to start for free. No ideas, go look at other designs and make them your own, just don't steal. That's a jerk move. The best time to start was a year ago. The second best time is right now. Goodness knows, I procrastinated enough. If you want something bad enough you find a way. If you don't, you'll find excuses not to. I know from personal experience. I have been frozen in that "I have no talent, abilities, ideas state too many times to count. I believe in you.
If you aren't that creative type, think about the skills you have and how you can use those to serve others and find a way to eventually monetize that. It will come. Or you could come to Hive and write, every day. Or come here and engage with others, comment on their posts, or curate and vote for stuff. Those other big sites aren't paying you.
As always, just my .02¢ worth, YMMV
Thanks for reading, I love you all and God Bless
