I had intended to do a full workout today and video the bit where I attempt to lift weights... But I copped out and had a lengthy and pleasant afternoon nap instead. Most refreshing!
So I just did the weight lifting bit to make sure I got my #2020Vision challenge for today over and done with... The thing is, before this month I had gone four months or more without doing a weight/resistance at all so it's a bit of a struggle to get those weights in the air more than a couple of times!
Here's the video... LOL!
The Full Workout
Here's the full work out (with two variations for the weight lifting sets). Actually, there are a couple of other things I have added to the mix.
One is a home-made punch bag that I pummel from time to time. It makes a racket when I do that, so I only do it when I'm home alone.
The other is that after working out I lie on one of those mats with a lot of plastic needles in them to stimulate blood flow or something.
Anyway, here is the main workout routine:
Thanks to @pixiepost for creating the #2020vision following the example of #actifit !!
All the best,
David Hurley
I love watching your videos & how you engage in a conversation with all of us! :) Fantastic job on the weight lifting - dude, you do better than I would LOL. I might just stick to yoga & push-ups; otherwise, I might end up in the hospital!🤣🤣 Naps are AWESOME & so is wine. You are doing me & @ph1102 PROUD. Continue to #pushon & thank you for joining the #2020Vision challenge!🧚♀️🦄💜🙌💪

Really great weightlifting David, and nice to see you in 2020vision, and it's a good way to have daily content.
Thank you Erik! Yes, #2020Vision really helps with content creation!
Yeah it's that and Actifit when you can't find anything else.
Way to go!! Look at you with not only having your workout written out!! You have drawings, dude!!! That's awesome!!!
Well, they're just stick men really! LOL! They help me remember what I'm supposed to be doing. As an "English as a Foreign Language" teacher I get lots of opportunities to practise drawing stick figures to convey meaning.
Looks like a good amount of weight to be lifting David! We need those weight bearing exercises every bit as much or maybe even more than cardio.
That's right, Lisa. I think it is especially important for women to include weight training in their workout to maintain bone density among other things. Unfortunately, until recently, "weight lifting" had a "macho" image that put a lot of women off resistance training. Of course, a lot of men avoid it as well.
I just read an article in Time that said 50% of Americans do some form of cardio, but only 20% do resistance training. I know you "get it," Lisa, but here's a good piece about strength training benefits for women that I just found:

Wow, David, I need a new weight set and some catch up time. Great job my friend on the fitness vision2020.
Thanks Andy! When I got back into CTP I had no idea they'd have me videoing myself attempting to do press ups and lift weights and stuff like that! LOL! I'm fine with making videos, but usually just as a "talking head" and nothing more!
Congratulations @hirohurl!
