That is a great book. We just finished watching the film Unknown Soldier directed Edvin Laine in 1955. That is our tradition. Do you know that my father got one of the highest honors during wartime namely the Mannerheim cross, number 71. The Mannerheim Cross of Liberty (Finnish: Mannerheim-risti, Swedish: Mannerheimkorset) is the most distinguished Finnish military honor.

No, I didn't know your father won the Mannerheim Cross. I googled "Mannerheim Cross 71" and found a photo of your father in military uniform and some interesting information about why he was awarded it. Apparently, he used his orienteering skills to lead his men in an attack on Russian troops who were laying mines. You must be very proud of him.
