Choosing to earn an income online is challenging for most people and there are always reasons why disappointment, failure and losses are prevalent.
For those who succeed at it, are usually folks who took risks and despite the inevitable of a lot failure before success; suppress their doubts, fears and go all in.
When you go all in, that usually means you have to be consistent and focused. At least those are the 2 areas I see as the biggest challenges.
Some will say money. Not having the funds. But many successful people unless through inheritance, have worked their way from the bottom. They practically ate shit, went through shit, lived in shit, were shitted on and took no shit to succeed.
I've been held back for a myriad of reasons, but not until I was resolute in whatever success I've had in life; those successes happened. They happened, because I showed up consistently and put in the work.
The online marketing journey has been a unicorn of sorts for me, but since I've been back; results happened a lot faster this time around with knowing that being generic was not going to cut it. Of course, having more money to invest would separate you from the pack; but if you let that hold you back then success is a moot point.
I consider myself pretty lucky to have been back a much shorter time, than the over 5 years I put into it years ago; and quit due to being unsuccessful. Being unrealistic, was more like it.
Coming back with a different mindset was enough to know that if I start off with the basics and keep it simple, but consistent and don't get distracted; I will see results. In a few months I did see a faster growth in my downline and list building as well as the affiliate commissions coming in.
A huge difference came with my willingness to be more open, be me, put my face out there, speak of my experience, just be relatable. No need to bullshit my way through this journey.
If you know me and my adoration for Orangetheory Fitness, a lot of what I experienced in my health and fitness journey and being an OTF member; brought me back to online marketing.
My confidence was fortified, it was right before the pandemic hit and my activity on centralized social media revolving around my OTF experience helped me realize that I can actually translate this back into my online marketing dreams.
I was doing videos, posting daily, stories, etc., and then I realized that interaction was becoming pretty natural and I would go to an OTF at other locations including in other states and folks know me. They say hey you are that OTF guy on social media. You are all over the place. They were right - Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter.
That right there showed me how powerful it is to brand, engage, be consistent and all the things that make these platforms amazing, but of course there is the scourge of control, censorship and greed that stains all of it.
This is the ultimate point to this post and it's as basic as it can be.
We have this wonderful platform that it's still in it's infancy and it doesn't censor, discriminate and offers you the opportunity to earn from your activity on it and it also gives the little guy like you and me the opportunity to invest like the fat cats on Wall Street.
Side note, I worked 6 years on Wall Street back in the 80's and yes all that madness was true to life.
I digress, the point is that to fear or procrastinate over this opportunity can cost you a lot in the future; because if you are still waddling through the same old patterns on centralized platforms, you will be missing the wonders you can produce on HIVE.
I am aware, I could be preaching to the choir with this post on HIVE; but when I write posts like this, I always have those that are not on this platform yet in mind.
So take blockchains, crypto, entrepreneurship or anything relatable out of the equation and just look at life itself. If you apply the thought of not being afraid or facing fear to do what you want in life, then why not do it.
We only live once, so get off that fence right now!

You know anything worth having requires commitment and a willingness to fail. I know this is an older lost, but the title grabbed me. I feel like I've spent to much time as a pigeon sitting on a lame rotting fence. Yet the small percentage of the effort that I allowed to become habit, has started to bare fruit. There's a lingering regret that I didn't commit more effort, yet an appreciation towards myself for having continued even though it felt fruitless.
