Why We Cancelled Our Melaleuca Membership

in #ctp7 months ago

I Have Never Been a Fan of Autoships

That is a big reason why I never promoted Melaleuca.

Besides the fact that I don't enjoy selling anyway.

Even though the products are good enough

I just didn't feel good about telling people that they had to buy a certain number of product points per month or they'd get a back up order shipped to them.

You can designate the products you'd want in the back up order in case you forget to order that month's points.

Our Average Order Was at Least 100 Dollars Every Month

That was on top of what we were getting charged for the other service we had through them.

That was so that we could get 100 percent of the shipping returned to us in loyalty dollars

You can't use loyalty shopping dollars unless your product order reaches the 35 point minimum.

I noticed over the last couple of months that it was getting more and more expensive to reach the minimum number of points.

And I was getting so frustrated trying to go through the house and figure out what products we should order that we actually needed to replenish.

So, on Monday, one day before the end of this month we decided that it no longer made sense to continue.

We Called Customer Service Monday Morning

The agent with whom we spoke was very friendly and helpful.

She told us that as long as we sent back the signed cancellation form before 5 pm MST on the 30th we would not be sent a back up order for April.

We also had a Identity Theft Protection service from another one of their vendors.

I was assured by the agent that it would be cancelled as well.

We printed the form, signed it, scanned it back in, and sent it to the email address given to us.

There were a bunch of boxes on the form that we had to check off.

One pertained to the Info Guard Identity Theft Protection.

It said that we would lose the preferred customer price through Melaleuca.
And not that it would be cancelled. We weren't told that we'd have to cancel it seperately.

Roy Looked at our Capital One Credit Card Account Today Like He Usually Does Almost Everyday

Guess what?!

We got charged the regular $49 monthly fee for the Info Guard Identity Protection.

I was pissed!

I lost my temper and dropped a very loud F-bomb.

Hurt Roy's ears cuz he was sitting right next to me.

It didn't do me any good either.

Roy heard the customer service agent tell us that service would be cancelled when we cancelled our Melaleuca preferred customer membership.

We got on the phone right away and found out that while they could cancel anymore charges going through after this last that went through on May 1st, they couldn't refund this one.

I told them that they need to change the wording on that cancellation form.
The agent agreed and is going to give them that feedback.

So, We are Done With Any Company that Requires Autoship or Product Ordering Commitments

We would rather pay the yearly fees for Amazon Prime, Sams Club Business Plus, and Walmart Plus Memberships and be able to order products when and if we need them.

Not only that, we don't pay any shipping fees when we do place orders and we get the stuff within a day or two at the most.

We are both relieved to be done with that.

Have a great rest of your day!

Hi, Lisa I agree with you. Prices for everything are through the roof! I wish Melaleuca had a more affordable way to shop there. Melaleuca isn't made for any of us struggling folks. I wish they had a yearly fee like Amazon. The non toxic cleaning products I really love and can't use now. I'm so sensitive to all the poison products that are so cheap. Anyway have a great weekend and I'm sorry about that one you got charged for. I hope I can buy from them again in the near future. Their supplements really helped my immune system.
