The Daily Mental Roller Coaster

in #ctp5 years ago

The daily mental roller coaster of an entrepreneur, particularly in Network Marketing, can sometimes be overwhelming...especially if you have not yet developed your skills and trained your mind. It could maybe even be likened to or misdiagnosed as a mild form of schizophrenia. It can get crazy out there. One minute you're high. The next minute you're low. The key is to try and stay somewhere in the middle and sustain that for the longest period of time possible.

Just know that it will get easier. The key is to take control of your mental keyboard. Stop letting outside influences program your mental and emotional hard drive.

Take control of your thoughts, words, and emotions. Be intentional about what you read and listen to daily. Be choosy about your associations and limit association with the wrong people.

Be aware of your mental game. What story have you sold yourself on? Carefully craft that story that you're telling yourself and others every single day. Make sure it serves you and moving you closer to your goals.

If you'll commit to the journey of personal development, growth and change then you too can become one of the greats in Network Marketing. You can live an incredible lifestyle. You can be like those people you idolize as heroes in the profession. It will all be worth it, trust me.

You've got everything you need. You were born for this. I believe in YOU!

Nice post Sean, it's good days and bad days, but generally speaking if I see a problem I just want to fix it, that's my motivation to create and make money doing so, stay awesome.

Thanks for the reminder Sean, too easy to be distracted from one's own goals by someone else's ambitions. Stay focused on the task at hand, that's the key to deflect or defeat counter-productive behaviours such as procrastination.

What I do is this: when I go to bed, as I lay down and close my eyes, I contemplate for a minute or two what I need to get done when I arise from my rest period, as well as a few tasks that I want to get onto if I have time. In this way, I have trained my mind to be objective rather than subjective, to be able to deal with issues as they arise and quickly apply a fix, rather than let matters stew and compound into more serious problems that take time to get right.

Such positive coping strategies are the hallmark of entrepreneurs, the ability to cope under enormous pressure, and excel where so many other people fail.
