This post is about a different topic but I will reply to you.
Only "big" accounts and content creators actually make that huge views and $$ for example on YouTube. Most of them are making a real money through promoting products, Amazon affiliate or any other type of promotions. I thought similar in the past but it is not as cool as it looks like and they spread that info "YouTube millionaires" which is not true.
If you got 1000 subs and 4000 watch hours in a consecutive 12 months (so you have to wait 12 months first from Jan-Dec if you don't hit 4000 than it resets, quite a very long time honestly, you can wait 2-3 years or longer) that's the first thing to get monetized, you might not it is up to youtube, if they don't like something than you will not.
One of my friend last year starts to be monetized and I've got some info here. Let's say you passed and are monetized, in the first months you might get $10-$20 per month but you can't get that straight away, withdraw starts until specific amount. I guess it's $100 but I am not sure. My friend was able to do withdraw after 6 months haha :D Now it depends what niche and how often you provide content and how many views you've got, which country you live in etc. You need like 100k subs to get something like $1000 per month but nothing is guaranteed, views are more important because that's eyes that watch this ads, a lot of people got adblockers in this days and that first 5s ads before video pays very little and most people "skip it" so you don't get nothing, someone have to watch full ad and then you get paid. Google take 70% so you have 30% plus you have to pay taxes, it is your income etc.
On Hive you are "monetized" straight away. Payments are 50% for curators and 50% for you from your upvotes within 7 days and then yes it's done. There are also Layer 2 tokens on hive-engine which different platforms are using and when you tag your posts properly you will get upvotes from this platforms in their own tokens. 10 tags per post so just imagine that technically you can get 10 different tokens + HBD & Hive per post so it's 12 in total. Here you can earn for all the content you post and you have a lot of ways to do that photo/video/podcast/blog whatever so if you are constant and post every day it's a different game but it is up to you, I am not a financial adviser :)
Stay Safe.
Peace.

Sounds convincing. But only for small videos. I was also a YouTube content producer. And even earned about 200 dollars a month. Payments in 7 days - I think the main problem.
When you spend a lot of effort, time and money on content creation, $100 or even $200 bonus in 7 days is not much (assuming there is such a bonus at all).
Therefore, rich people will definitely not go for it. Yes, and advertisers also pay a lot of money.
The main problem of reaching the $100 minimum is not a problem at all. Especially if a person decides to seriously engage in the promotion of his channel.
Many questions still remain unresolved.
