If your sort of ideal holiday is a clinically sterilised hotel, and cold people who act as robots, then, please please do not visit Cuba. Behind its deteriorated buildings and tired streets lies a huge amount of value, simply put it people . Now let's not get political about it, but just a quick question, if you where on that situation, how would you react? Survival, where friendship is treasure and social status is mainly defined by how intelligent you are, not by how much do you have. If this sounds interesting for you, please go to Cuba, open your heart and go with the flow. When it gets too much, simply do as Cuban's do, sit down have a Mojito and don't let stress get to you, chill.
Well described
I recommend staying at a casa particular over a resort. Super cheap, great food, and a nice way to meet the locals.
Indeed, but I guess it does depend on what people want, a mixture of both might be better, a Casa and a Beach place to relax for a few days
