tampah is a traditional tool made of woven bamboo or rattan which is usually its oval-shaped like an egg that has a length of 65-80cm.
this tool is commonly used to menapi (clean) rice from the dirt before the washing and cooking.

how to use this tool is very practical, put the rice on it sufficiently then appear (sob) with the hand until the rice is slightly up, swing from the bottom up until the dirt pulled over at the end of the tampah, then remove the dirt and beraspun ready in the washing and cooking.
