A pupil from Grade 5 in the person of miss Amanda Ikwe explained the essence of the cultural day in the lives of the students, parents and everybody present saying, " celebrating cultural brings unity and love. There are many cultural groups in Nigeria, but what brings us together is the love of Christ.

Nigeria's culture is fading away gradually, though not dying and that is why we are encouraging everybody to dress traditionally. Schools, churches and societies should also encourage cultural day celebration and teach people the importance of culture from the cradle.
Government can also encourage culture. For instance, i love what Lagos state government has done at Tafawa Balewa Square. They have turned the place around and made it a tourist centre of international repute.

Culture is very good and necessary, let's put our hands together and build our nation.images-1.jpg
We can create our own cultural day, were members of this steemit community can come together, dressed in their cultural attires and perform on the stage to show off our cultures. This brings love and UNITY.
WHAT DO YOU THINK?
