In this posting, I’d like post on decoration of the eaves in this temple.

The ornaments around the eaves of this temple were exceptionally beautiful. I have seen so many decorations of the eaves of temple.
The decoration of the eaves of this temple of Ssang Gyeo Sa was the one of the best in the decoration.

One of the best decoration of the eaves I’ve seen recently was the Shrine for the mountain god which was built by the Choson Dynasty.

But the eaves of the Shrine could not be compared to that of this temple in the scale and the beauty, even though the shrine of mountain god was built by the royal family.

Let’s look at the eaves of the shrine for the mountain god to compare with that of the temple on former posting.

The eaves of the temple was very unique in it’s accuracy and the style.

Interesting thing in this temple was that Dragons were carved at the top of every ornaments.

There were 4 dragons sculptures on the front wall.
Each dragons were slightly different in shapes and colors.

There were the paintings of dragons in the ornament at the eaves and the end of the crossbeam.
The painting of the frontal face of dragon was very accurate.

It was not easy to find the dragon face, because it was hidden behind the front board

The corner of the eaves were much more impressive. You can enjoy the beauty of the ornament with the background of the sky.

The blue color of the sky seemed to emphasize the colors of the ornaments

Especially fading way red-brown colors brought me a kind of strange sentiment and made me looking back to the past.

These are really art of works and are so beautiful. The temples in China have similar architecture. Dragons are also featured prominently in Chinese temples. Great photography as well.

These are beautifully painted eaves of The Temple SSang Gyeo Sa, @slowwalker.

Such lovely photography!

The dragons represent protective deities guarding the temple and ensuring prosperity.

The dancheong painting has a long history dating back to prehistoric times and the five colours suggest harmony and the warding off of evil spirits.

The designs under the eaves reveal splendid workmanship and your close-ups help emphasize this.

Beautiful work today, my friend

Indeed, the temple is unique through decorations and ornaments. It's a great place and I'm glad you had the opportunity to see it and share these wonderful pictures

crazy stuff but very pretty

Wonderful!

Another really nice set of past culture photos. It's great that you got closeup photos from different sections, it really lets us see the details. It is also striking on how exact the repeated patterns are, almost like they were stenciled on. Do you know if that is how they did that back then? or was it all freehand skill?

🌏You should add your travel posts to the new @steemitworldmap, you just drop in a short tag with lat/lon - super easy. I am always asking myself how talented those people were my friend to make such great carvings. Nowadays all is made with machines and we rarely see someone with such skills.
