Hi guys, i just took a walk in Lier. Lier is the small city were i lived for a couple of years and went to school.
I took some photos for you to check it out.
This is the most famous building of Lier called the “Zimmertoren”(Zimmertower).
This is the church of “Sint-Gummarus”.
With next to it my favourite place to eat some simple but really good spaghetti. Called “het kruiske”.
Great spaghetti and Belgian beers.
Large clock on the back of the library. They recently colored it pink for breastcancer month.
Just checked that in the newspaper.😊
This river is the “Nete” which runs through the city.

This little street is the “Begijnhof”. Little houses for the beguines.
With also a church in it...
Townhall.
Square in front of the townhall with all the classified historic buildings.
This is the statue of the shepherd with his sheep. They call people from lier the “schapenkoppen”. Which means the sheepheads.
And this again is the Sint Gummarus church from a bit further away...
So thanks for checking out the pics of Lier city. Since i live near this town for almost my whole life, i don’t always realise that some people could find this very beautifull. Because there is a lot of cultural tourisme in Lier.
Anyway cheers from “Lierke plezierke”. That means fun Lier. It’s how the people of Lier also love to call their town.

Met vier bier aan de zwier en de deur op een kier,
voor vertier en zonder gemier verrek je geen spier.
Bovendien sta je binnen een uur en drie kwartier vanuit hier,
ongetwijfeld fier, in het altijd gezellige ... Lier
Zo, dat komt wel goed binnenkort met dat Sinterklaas-gedicht ...
Onlangs nog geweest, en er zijn best een paar toffe plaatsjes te ontdekken.
