Historical objects in Aceh: "Ceureupa"

Hi... friends who exist in Steemit ...

In this post, I again introduce historic object in Aceh, "Ceurepa". Function, as a place to store various herbs for the completeness of betel food such as areca nut, cloves, and others.

"Ceurepa" which I show in this post is a collection from Tgk Yusdedi, chairman of traditional institution in Lhokseumawe City, Aceh Province, Indonesia.

According to Tgk Yusdedi, "Ceurepa", his collection, made of copper. The size is very small, the width is only about 20 centimeters, and the height of about 5 centimeters.

"Ceureupa", began to be used by the people of Aceh since the 13th century.Special made of copper, used only by the nobility.

So, according to Tgk Yusdedi, "Ceureupa" made of copper is now increasingly rare. If there is, just for collection only.

In my previous post, I also explained about two other Aceh historical objects, namely "Siwah" made of elephant ivory, "Tanglong 7 Mata" is a lighting device in the noble house, "Rincong Meupucok", "Sudahan", "Chok Ranup", "Rincong Pirak, "Rincong Pudoi", "Siwah Bari", and "Leumbeng".
