Well you could consider it competing, but really I think the more diversity on blockchain the better. But yes, Curie is working on a web front end, similar to steemit.com or busy.org or any of the dozens of other web front ends for the Steem blockchain - the Curie front end will have a focus on curation and advanced search capability.
