Hello steemit people! I have selected another five philosophy and psychology themed posts to share with you all this week. Please check out these authors and awesome posts or projects for yourself and show them some support. Together we all make this ecosystem grow. Each post will receive an upvote from the @msp-curation account and one of them will be selected for resteem from the official @minnowsupport account to help grow their audience. Thanks for all of the great posts this week and thanks for your time and consideration checking out this post!
My first pick this week comes from a newer user that I first interacted with through one of my own posts. @orangina wrote a post about her own struggle with mindfulness and gave me a good reminder of something as well. Even when we don't realize it, the things we say or do out of habit can have an impact on other people's lives. I'm very mindful of my own negative thoughts, but the more positive and reassuring ones often get overlooked honestly. Thanks for the reminder and the awesome post!
Next up, @chrismccron shares about his 1% rule. I really enjoyed this post and I always appreciate when people take the effort to speak out about depression and their own struggles with it. I've shared much of my own journey of working through depression and I like Chris' concept of a 1% rule. I think we all have to figure out our own way to work through these things and the more we discuss them, the more we help others.
@eugenecr7 and some other great steemians have started a project to provide educational resources to children in Nigeria. I have had the privilege of meeting some awesome and passionate community members from Nigeria throughout my time here on steemit and it's extremely humbling and puts so much in perspective when talking to them about the troubles going on in their country. The people will persevere through their community minded attitudes and collaborative efforts and we can all help by supporting community efforts from Nigerian steemians if we are able. Please check out their post and show some support if you agree with the project and are able.
I caught this awesome post from @drpuffnstuff last night and the message really hit home with me. We all have to manage our own expectations and avoid fixating on outcomes or risk being sorely disappointed repeatedly throughout our lives. I enjoyed the fresh perspective on this issue and the effort to improve oneself. Check it out and see what you think.
My last pick this week comes from @soundwavesphoton. I'm actually a little sad as it's now within the final twelve hours and we can't upvote it, but I'll find another post of theirs to put the vote on. If you don't know, I'm a fan of philosophy chill mixes. There are just far too few of them and when I saw that @soundwavesphoton had made a mix of a Terrance McKenna lecture I had to listen. It's quality music and the lecture is great as always, I hope to hear more mixes from you in the future! Thanks for everyone's time and consideration this week and as always I appreciate you checking out this post and hope you will share the love with some of these other authors. Namaste.
great collection of posts - i needed to read about the 1% rule today! i love when the timing is perfect on stuff like this.
@soundwavesphoton special request! If you can do an Alan watts mix that'd be dope, bro! Keep it up! (Yes I typed this comment before listening to your mix above, I already know it's lit AF.)
Gotta love hearing philosophy is lit :)
this gif is amazing!
You're amazing! ♥
Cool i'll do another one with Mr. Alan Watts.
I'M SO EXCITED! no pressure 😃♥♥♥
Wow Clayboyn - thanks for the love! As a new arrival here, I have to say, I am overwhelmed by the supportiveness of this community. And I'm so glad to have already found some great resources and perspectives for making it through life on this spinning space rock :-) This is not your run of the mill social network!
It's far from perfect, but it's far better than the rest that we've seen so far. I think if we keep working together to promote users and content then steemit succeeds in the long run. :)
Great curation of philosophy/psychology posts! I'm planning to write more in this niche moving forward and hopefully you'll like some of them. :)
Thanks for sharing such wonderful blogs @claybon
