I think a balanced approach is best, involving both manual curation and auto curation through Steemvoter. I really only have the time to read and comment on 3-4 good posts each day. So that's my manual curation. But there are many authors I like and I want to support their work. So with my Steemvoter rules I can make sure that I never miss voting on my favorite authors.

That sounds like a reasonable approach. I am looking for pro tips like this to get the best out of steemit and protect the platform from abuse.
